Believe in the Magic of the Season ✨

With only a few days to Christmas, there is a different energy in the air.  Our communities have so many amazing local businesses.  Supporting them is so important, especially now during the holidays.  Do you know that purchasing a gift from a local business is like giving a gift twice?

Small local businesses are the heartbeat of communities. When you choose to shop locally, your support extends beyond your transaction. The money generated by these businesses tends to stay within the community, helping boost the local economy.

Ways to support local businesses during this time of year:

1. Shop local online: Many businesses in the past few years have embraced e-commerce shopping options.  Explore digital gift guides to find unique gifts while supporting businesses in your community.
2. Attend local markets and events: ‘Tis the season for holiday markets!  This is the perfect opportunity to find one-of-a-kind handmade and locally sourced treasures. 
3. Gift Certificates and experiences: Consider purchasing gift certificates for local services or experiences.  This not only supports small businesses but also offers your loved ones a memorable and enjoyable experience.
4. Spread the word: Encouraging others to choose local shopping during the holidays becomes easier when we use the power of social media and word-of-mouth. Share your positive experiences to spread the word!
5. Support small restaurants and cafes: While shopping, take a break at local eateries.  Supporting small restaurants and cafes not only boosts the local economy but gives you a delightful culinary experience!
6. Collaborate with local artisans: Seek out local artisans for unique, handmade gifts.  Pottery, jewelry or artwork carry such a personal touch and they often tell a story about the artist and the community where they are from.

This season, let’s make a conscious effort to direct our spirit of giving into support for our local small businesses.  The impact of our choices reaches far beyond the gifts under the tree and, extends well beyond the season itself.
